Swisher Electric Cooperative, Inc. has the following job opening:
JOURNEYMAN LINEMEN- Journeyman Linemen shall be skilled workers having three (3) or more years’ experience as a journeyman who possess the required knowledge, skills, physical abilities, and competencies to perform any work he or she may be called upon to do on the Company's transmission and distribution lines.
- Open switches or attach grounding devices to remove electrical hazards from disturbed or fallen lines or to facilitate repairs.
- Install electrical distribution and transmission systems, including conduits, cables, wires, transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
- Maintain and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems, including conduits, cables, wires, transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
- Identify defective sectionalizing devices, circuit breakers, fuses, voltage regulators, transformers, switches, relays, or wiring, using wiring diagrams and electrical testing instruments.
- Inspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems, using reading and testing instruments.

Must possess a valid CDL and will be required to live within 15 minutes of the Swisher Electric Headquarters.

APPRENTICE LINEMEN- entry-level, with a requirement to sign an Apprentice Agreement after the probationary period and participate in training funded by the Cooperative. require a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week (Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break) and include on-call responsibilities.
Must possess a valid CDL and will be required to live within 15 minutes of the Swisher Electric Headquarters.
